I joined the Communities team at LP for 4 months to help produce the aspects that required online membership. I was initially responsible for implementing outlined visual concepts, but since the website was so complex and tightly integrated, I worked harder to bed down interaction models which would have a wider impact on a users' experience. Special attention to art direction, consistent tone of voice and appropriate technology solutions all needed to be expertly delivered within the Agile process Lonely Planet had adopted. Examples of this are user interactions for registration, sign in/out, user reviews, trip planner application, member profiles, and standardising repetitive content around the website.
