ABC Black Saturday Interactive | Visit website
ABC commissioned a project that would bring together the stories of the devastating fires in February 2009 known as Black Saturday. A project of this size required a detailed wireframing and interaction design process. I first worked with the Producer's initial ideas and interface concepts, then storyboarded user pathways in sketch form. Doing this illuminated the various technical problems regarding aggregation of video, photo, audio and slideshow formats, as well as enabling us to refine complex interaction models so that user's had many lenses with which to see the information through, but also felt relatively straight forward. Stories can be viewed by story wall, people, topic, timeline, and map.
